Many of the apps you can connect to Praxivara — including HubSpot, Salesforce, Stripe, Shopify, Zoom, Pipedrive, Zoho, QuickBooks, Dropbox, DocuSign and Calendly — link up through a hosted connect window. This is a secure pop-up where you sign in to the provider and approve access, so the assistant and your agents can work inside that tool on your behalf.
What the hosted connect window is
The hosted connect window is a guided sign-in and authorization screen that opens when you connect one of these apps. You confirm the account you want to link and approve the access being requested. When it finishes, the window closes and you return to Praxivara with the app connected.
Your connection is private to you and scoped to your workspace. It is not shared with other members unless you connect it there yourself.
Before you start
- Make sure you are signed in to the correct account for the app you want to connect. If you manage more than one account, sign out of the wrong one first, or complete the account switch inside the window.
- Allow pop-ups for Praxivara in your browser, since the connect window opens as a pop-up.
- Have your provider login ready. Praxivara never sees your provider password — you enter it directly with the provider.
Connect an app step by step
- Open the Integrations hub and find the app you want, either by searching its name or filtering by category.
- Open the app's card to review what it does, then choose Connect.
- The hosted connect window opens. Sign in to the provider and confirm the account you want to link.
- Review the access the app requests and approve it on the provider's own consent screen.
- When the window closes, return to the hub and confirm the app now shows as Connected.
Tip: Complete the window promptly. If it sits open too long, the secure connection link can expire and you may see a message asking you to try again. Simply start the connection again.
Choose which actions the assistant can perform
When you connect an app, you decide exactly which of its actions the assistant is allowed to take. Actions appear as a checklist, so you can enable everything or limit the assistant to only the operations you trust.
- Review the list of available actions during setup.
- Use Select all, or check only the specific actions you want to allow.
- Save the connection.
You can adjust this at any time. Open the connected app and use its Manage actions option to add or remove enabled actions later.
Note: If you connect an app but leave every action unchecked, the assistant will not be able to do anything with it. If the assistant ever says an action is not enabled, open Manage actions and turn that action on.
Actions and triggers
Each app's capabilities view lists its Actions — the things the assistant and your agents can do — and, where available, its Triggers. Triggers are events that can start an agent automatically, such as a new Shopify order or a change to a CRM record. Not every app offers triggers, so if you want an agent to run on its own, check the capabilities view before connecting to confirm the event you need is supported.
Troubleshooting
The connection link expired
The window was open too long before finishing. Start the connection again and complete it without long pauses.
The wrong account was linked
Sign out of that account with the provider, then reconnect and choose the correct account in the window.
The pop-up did not appear
Your browser likely blocked it. Allow pop-ups for Praxivara and try again.
The provider rejected the connection
Confirm your provider account is active and that you approved the access requested, then reconnect.
Manage a connection over time
Once an app is connected, you can return to it from the Integrations hub to add another account, set a primary account where supported, update its enabled actions, reconnect if access needs refreshing, or disconnect it entirely. Some apps connect a different way — a sign-in pop-up, a pasted API key, or a one-click add — but for HubSpot, Salesforce, Stripe, Shopify, Zoom and the other apps above, the hosted connect window is the path.
