When your storage runs low, you don't have to guess what's taking up room. The Usage page breaks your storage down by source, so you can see exactly what's using space and clear out what you no longer need. Deleting an item frees its space right away.
Check your storage first
Start by opening Settings and going to the Usage tab. Near the storage meter you'll see how much space you're using against your total quota, along with a progress bar. The bar turns amber as you approach your limit and red when storage is full.
You can also simply ask the assistant something like "how much storage am I using?" or "am I full?" to get the exact figures in a conversation.
Tip: If a file upload recently failed, a full or nearly full storage meter is the most common cause. Freeing space usually resolves it immediately.
Find what's using your space
On the Usage page, the storage section includes a collapsible breakdown grouped by source, with the largest consumers listed first. Sources include:
- Chats — files and attachments tied to your conversations
- Agents — files your AI agents hold
- Channels — media from your connected channels
- Mail — attachments in Praxivara Mail
- Voice recordings — saved call recordings
- Uploads — files you've uploaded directly
- Profile & branding — logos and profile assets
- Generated files — files the platform created for you
Expand any source to see the individual items inside it, each with a link to open it directly.
Free up space, step by step
- Open Settings and select the Usage tab.
- Scroll to the storage breakdown and expand the source at the top of the list — this is your biggest consumer.
- Use the link next to an item to open it and review its contents before removing anything.
- Delete the underlying chat, agent, recording, or file you no longer need. Its space is reclaimed immediately.
- Return to the Usage page and confirm the storage meter has dropped.
Work from the largest sources down. Removing a few big items typically frees far more space than clearing many small ones.
What happens when you delete
Deleting an item removes both the item and the storage it occupied. The change is reflected on your storage meter right away, so you can keep deleting until you're comfortably below your limit.
Because deletion is immediate and permanent, review each item first — especially voice recordings and uploaded files you may want to keep a copy of elsewhere.
When you'd rather add space instead
If everything using your storage is still needed, you can add more capacity rather than delete. Your total quota is your plan's included allowance plus any storage add-ons, and you can purchase additional storage from the Billing page. Higher plans also include a larger storage allowance if you find you consistently need more room.
Note: When storage is full, new files can't be saved until you free up space or add more. Keeping an eye on the meter — or acting when it turns amber — helps you avoid interrupted uploads.
