Credits are what you spend as the assistant, your agents, and your channels do work for you. If you use them faster than expected, you can keep going without waiting for your next renewal. This guide covers how to confirm where you stand and the fastest ways to add more.
First, confirm where you stand
Before adding credits, take a moment to see exactly how many are left and when they renew. This helps you decide whether a small top-up will carry you to renewal or whether a larger change makes sense.
- Open Settings and go to the Usage tab.
- Check the credits meter for how many you have used this period versus your monthly allowance, and the renewal date.
- Expand a category such as AI Chat, Channels, AI Agents, or Voice to see which chats, agents, or channels used the most, and open any charge to review what happened.
Tip: You can also ask the assistant directly, for example "how many credits do I have left" or "when do my credits renew," and it will give you exact figures.
Option 1: Buy a credit pack
The quickest way to keep working is to add a credit pack from the Billing page. You have two choices:
- One-time top-up — a single pack added to your balance right now. Best when you just need to finish a task or cover an unusually busy stretch.
- Recurring monthly pack — an extra pack that renews each month alongside your plan. Best when you consistently need more than your monthly allowance provides.
Purchased credits are added on top of your plan. Your included monthly credits are always spent first, so a pack you buy is only drawn down once your monthly allowance is used up.
Note: Credits you purchase roll over month to month while your subscription is active, so a top-up you don't fully use isn't lost at renewal. Your included monthly credits reset each period.
Option 2: Turn on auto top-up
If you'd rather not think about running low again, auto top-up buys a credit pack for you automatically whenever your balance falls below a threshold you choose.
- Go to the Billing page and open the credit add-on settings.
- Enable auto top-up.
- Set the low-balance threshold at which it should trigger, and choose which pack it buys.
Auto top-up uses the card on file, so it requires an active plan with a valid payment method. You can change the threshold, switch the pack, or turn auto top-up off again at any time from the same place.
Option 3: Move to a higher plan
If you find you regularly finish your credits well before renewal, upgrading your plan may be a better fit than repeated top-ups. Higher plans include a larger monthly credit allowance, so more of your usage is covered before any add-on is needed. You can change your plan from the Billing page.
Stretch your credits further
A few habits can help your allowance go further between renewals:
- Use the Usage breakdown to spot your biggest consumer — often a single agent or channel — and review whether it is running more than you need.
- Remember that inbound phone calls and received mail are always free, so relying on those where possible carries no credit cost.
- Open individual charges from the Usage page to understand what drove a larger-than-expected cost, so you can adjust how you use that feature.
What happens if credits run out completely
When your balance reaches zero, the credits meter on the Usage page turns red so you can see it at a glance. Add a top-up pack or enable auto top-up to resume immediately — you do not need to wait for your next renewal. Your monthly allowance will also refresh on schedule at the start of the next period.
