Praxivara's own records vs. a connected app Guide
Understand when the assistant saves work to Praxivara's built-in tasks and notes versus sending it to a connected app like Todoist.

When you ask the assistant to save a task, reminder, or note, it can put that item in one of two places: Praxivara's own built-in records, or an app you've connected such as Todoist. This article explains the difference and how to steer where your work lands.
Two places your work can live
Praxivara includes its own built-in tools for tasks, reminders, notes, and contacts. These live inside your Praxivara account and are always available, even if you haven't connected any outside apps. When you ask the assistant to "remind me," "add a task," or "save a note," it can create that item here directly.
You can also connect outside apps on the Integrations page. Once an app like Todoist is connected, the assistant can create items in that app on your behalf, so the work shows up wherever your team already tracks it.
The two are separate systems. An item saved to Praxivara's built-in records does not automatically appear in a connected app, and vice versa.
Tip: Think of Praxivara's built-in records as the assistant's own notebook, and a connected app as a shared workspace it can also write into. You choose which one it uses.
How the assistant chooses
The assistant uses the wording of your request to decide where an item should go.
- A general request like "add a task to follow up on Friday" is typically saved to your built-in Praxivara tasks.
- A request that names an app, like "add this to Todoist" or "put this on my Todoist work list," tells the assistant to create the item in that connected app instead.
If your intent isn't clear, the assistant may ask which one you mean. You can always be explicit to avoid any guesswork.
Steering where an item is saved
- Decide whether you want the item inside Praxivara or in a connected app.
- To keep it built-in, ask plainly, for example "create a task to review the proposal" or use a quick slash command such as
/task,/reminder, or/note. - To send it to a connected app, name the app in your request, for example "add a Todoist task to review the proposal."
- Review the assistant's reply. For any action that reaches an outside app, an Approve card appears first so you can confirm before it's created.
When to use each
Use Praxivara's built-in records when
- You want something the assistant can reference and act on directly in future conversations.
- The item is personal or lightweight and doesn't need to live in a shared tool.
- You haven't connected an outside app, or don't want to.
Use a connected app when
- Your team already tracks work in that app and you want the item where everyone can see it.
- You rely on that app's own organization, such as projects, lists, or labels.
- You want the item to flow into your existing workflows and notifications there.
Saving to both
If you want an item in both places, just say so, for example "add this as a Praxivara reminder and also create it in Todoist." The assistant will create the item in each and show an Approve card for the connected-app action before it happens.
Note: Because the two systems are independent, editing or completing an item in one place will not change the copy in the other. If you keep a task in both, update it in both.
If an item ends up in the wrong place
If the assistant saved something to your built-in records but you wanted it in a connected app, simply ask it to add the item to that app as well, naming the app. If it created something in a connected app by mistake, you can ask the assistant to help remove it. Deletions in an outside app also show an Approve card, so you stay in control of every change.
