If someone invited you into their workspace as a teammate, you can leave it whenever you like. Leaving removes you from that team and frees up the seat, while your own workspace and everything in it stays exactly as it was.
Before you leave
A team workspace belongs to the person who created it. When you were invited, you took a seat inside their workspace so you could work alongside the team. Leaving is different from deleting a workspace: you are stepping out of someone else's space, not removing it.
A few things worth checking first:
- Any chats, agents, files, and integrations you created inside that workspace stay in the workspace. They belong to the workspace, so they remain available to the owner and the rest of the team after you leave.
- Your own workspace — the one you got when you signed up — is completely separate. Nothing there is affected by leaving a team.
- If you need a copy of something you worked on, gather it while you still have access. Once you leave, you can no longer open that workspace.
Tip: Not sure which workspace you are in? Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar. The active workspace is highlighted with a checkmark, and your role appears under its name.
How to leave a workspace
- Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and switch into the team workspace you want to leave.
- Open the Workspace settings and go to the Team tab, where you can see yourself listed as a member.
- Choose the option to leave the workspace.
- Confirm when prompted. You will be moved out of that workspace and back into one of your own.
That's it. The workspace disappears from your Workspaces list, and you no longer have access to its chats, agents, integrations, or channels.
What happens to your seat
The seat you occupied was billed on the workspace owner's account, not yours. When you leave, that seat is released back to the owner, so leaving never leaves you with a charge for a team you're no longer part of.
If the owner wants you back later, they can send a fresh invitation to your email address, and you can rejoin the same way you joined the first time.
What happens to your data and access
Work you did in the workspace
Chats, agents, connected integrations, phone numbers, and email addresses that live in a team workspace stay with that workspace. Because they belong to the workspace rather than to you personally, they remain in place for the owner and remaining members after you go.
Your own account and workspace
Your Praxivara account and your personal workspace are untouched. When you leave a team, you simply land back in your own workspace, with your own chats, agents, integrations, and credits exactly as you left them.
Credits and usage
Each workspace tracks its own credits and usage. Any shared credits the owner allocated to you were tied to that team workspace, so once you leave you'll see only the credits and usage that belong to your own workspaces.
If you can't find the option to leave
Make sure you have actually switched into the correct workspace first — the Team tab shows the team for whichever workspace is currently active. If you own a workspace rather than having been invited to it, you'll manage members and settings instead of leaving, since a workspace can't be left by its owner.
If you were removed by an admin, or the workspace was deleted, it will simply disappear from your Workspaces list on its own — there is nothing more you need to do.
Note: If you belong to more than one team, leaving one workspace has no effect on the others. Switch between the workspaces you still belong to from the account menu at any time.
