Why Praxivara asks for your date of birth Guide

Praxivara collects your date of birth once during sign-up to confirm you're at least 18. Here's why, and how to clear a "must be at least 18" error.

During your first-time setup, Praxivara asks for your first name, last name, and date of birth. The date of birth is used for one purpose only: to confirm that you are at least 18 years old before you create an account.

Why we ask

Praxivara is a paid business platform, and using it means agreeing to our terms and, when your trial ends, taking on billing. Because of that, accounts are limited to adults. The date-of-birth field on the sign-up screen is a simple age check that confirms you meet the 18+ requirement.

You only enter it once, during onboarding. It is not something you need to provide again each time you sign in.

Note: Your date of birth is collected to verify your age at sign-up. It is not displayed on your public profile or shared with other members of your workspace.

What the "must be at least 18" error means

If you see a message such as "You must be at least 18 years old" when you try to continue past the name and date-of-birth step, it means the date you entered works out to an age under 18. Praxivara cannot create the account until an eligible date of birth is provided.

How to resolve the error

In almost every case, this message is caused by a simple entry mistake rather than an actual eligibility problem. Work through these steps:

  1. Re-open the date-of-birth field and check each part carefully — the day, month, and year.
  2. Confirm the year is correct. A mistyped or transposed year (for example, entering the current decade instead of your birth year) is the most common cause.
  3. Make sure the day and month aren't swapped. Enter the date in the format the field expects and follow any on-screen hints.
  4. Correct the date and select continue again.

Once the date reflects an age of 18 or older, the check clears and you move on to the next setup step.

If you are under 18

If the date is accurate and you are not yet 18, you are not eligible to create a Praxivara account at this time. The age requirement applies to every account and cannot be waived.

If you're 18 or older and still blocked

If you have double-checked the date, you are certain it is correct, and the error still appears, contact our support team. Let them know the exact message you're seeing and the step you were on, and we'll help you get set up.

Changing your details later

Your first and last name can be updated later from your account settings. The date of birth is collected once to satisfy the age check and is not part of the day-to-day profile you personalize.

Separately from age, some setup steps ask for a billing address at checkout. That address is used to calculate applicable sales tax and is unrelated to the date-of-birth check — if you're prompted for it, it's a normal part of starting your plan.

What happens next

After the age check passes, onboarding continues: you can optionally add a few personal details to help the assistant personalize its answers, choose a plan and start your free trial, and — if you like — connect a phone channel before you land in your workspace. From there, the Dashboard becomes your home base for delegating work to Praxivara.
