Completing the "Set up your assistant" checklist Guide
Work through the four setup steps on your Dashboard to get your assistant ready, and learn where the checklist goes once it's complete.

When you first land on your Dashboard, you'll see a short Set up your assistant checklist. It highlights four things worth doing early so your assistant has what it needs to work the way you do. This guide walks through each step and explains where the checklist goes once you're finished.
Before you begin
The checklist lives on your Dashboard — the home screen you see after signing in. You can complete the four items in any order, come back to them across several sessions, and skip any that don't apply to how you plan to use Praxivara. Nothing here is permanent, so feel free to explore.
Tip: You don't have to finish the checklist in one sitting. Your progress is saved, so you can tick items off whenever it's convenient.
Step 1: Start a chat with your assistant
The fastest way to see what Praxivara can do is to ask it something.
- Open the Assistant from the sidebar, or type directly into the Ask Praxivara bar on your Dashboard.
- Describe a task in plain language — for example, "Plan my day" or "Draft a follow-up email to a client."
- Review the response and keep the conversation going with follow-up messages.
Your first conversation marks this step complete, and it will appear in your recent chats so you can pick it back up later.
Step 2: Connect a tool
Connecting the apps you already use lets your assistant act on your behalf — reading, drafting, and organizing across the services you rely on.
- Go to the Integrations page from the sidebar.
- Browse the available tools and choose one you use often.
- Follow the prompts to connect it. You'll be asked to sign in to that service and approve access.
Once a tool is connected, your assistant can use it in chats and agents. You can add more tools at any time and disconnect them whenever you like.
Step 3: Add your phone
Connecting a phone channel lets you reach your assistant on the go — and lets it reach you.
- Open the phone channel option from the sidebar.
- Choose the channel you'd like to use and follow the setup steps.
- Confirm the connection when prompted.
With a phone channel in place, you can message your assistant from your phone and receive updates and reminders wherever you are. Some channels depend on your plan; if one isn't available, you'll see that noted during setup.
Step 4: Build an agent
Agents are assistants you configure once to handle recurring work on their own.
- Open the Agents page from the sidebar.
- Start a new agent and describe what you'd like it to do.
- Review the setup, test it, and save when you're happy with it.
Building your first agent completes the final item on the checklist. From there you can refine it, add more agents, or check in on their activity from your Dashboard.
Where the checklist goes when you're done
Once all four items are complete, the Set up your assistant checklist disappears from your Dashboard automatically. This is expected — it clears to make room for your day-to-day view, with cards for your meetings, tasks, reminders, agent activity, and recent chats.
If the checklist is gone, it simply means setup is finished. Everything it pointed you to remains available from the sidebar whenever you want to add another tool, connect another channel, or build another agent.
Note: Skipping a step doesn't hold you back. The checklist is a starting point, not a requirement — you can use every part of Praxivara whether or not you complete it.
