Changing your login email Guide
Move your Praxivara account to a new email address without losing any of your data, chats, agents, or settings.

You can move your Praxivara account to a new email address at any time. When you do, everything stays exactly where it is — your chats, agents, integrations, and settings are simply re-pointed to the new address. Nothing is lost.
Before you start
Two things make the change go smoothly:
- You have a password set. Changing your login email requires confirming your current password. If you sign in with Google only, set a password first (Settings > Security), then come back to change your email.
- You can receive mail at the new address. The confirmation code is sent to the new email, so make sure you can open its inbox.
Change your login email
- Open Settings and go to the Security tab.
- Find the Sign-in section and choose Change on the Email row.
- Enter your current password and the new email address you want to use.
- Praxivara sends a 6-digit confirmation code to the new address. Enter it to prove you own that inbox.
- Once the code is accepted, your login email is updated. Sign in with the new address from now on.
Note: The confirmation code is valid for 10 minutes. If it expires before you enter it, request a new one and try again.
If the code doesn't arrive
- Check the right inbox. The code always goes to the new address you entered, not your old one.
- Look in spam or promotions. Automated messages sometimes land there.
- Resend the code. Use the resend option on the confirmation screen. There is a short wait between sends, so give it a moment before trying again.
Troubleshooting
The "Change" option isn't showing
This happens on accounts that sign in with Google only and have no password yet. Set a password in Settings > Security first, then the option to change your email will appear.
You're asked for your current password
This is expected. Confirming your password is a required security step so that only you can move the account to a new address.
"Couldn't use that email"
A new email can be declined for a couple of reasons: it may already be linked to another Praxivara account, or it may have failed a deliverability check. Try a different address, and make sure the one you enter is spelled correctly and actively receives mail.
What changes and what stays the same
| Stays the same | Changes |
|---|---|
| Your chats, agents, and knowledge | The email you sign in with |
| Integrations and connected tools | Where account emails are delivered |
| Your plan, settings, and preferences | Where confirmation and security codes are sent |
| Two-factor authentication and backup codes | — |
If you use email as a two-factor sign-in method, verification codes will be sent to your new address after the change is complete. Your authenticator app and SMS methods are unaffected.
