Clearing your chat history permanently removes your conversations with the assistant while leaving your account, agents, and settings fully intact. This is useful when you want a clean slate or need to remove sensitive information from past conversations.

What clearing your chat history does

When you clear your chat history, the conversations and messages you have exchanged with the assistant are permanently deleted. This is a one-way action: once cleared, those conversations cannot be recovered.

Clearing your history is different from deleting your account. Your account stays active, and everything outside of your conversations is preserved.

Note: Because this action is permanent, take a moment to save anything you still need from a conversation before you clear it. There is no undo.

Before you clear your history

  1. Open any conversation that contains information you want to keep.
  2. Copy important details — such as answers, links, or drafts — into a document or another safe location.
  3. Confirm you are signed in to the correct account, especially if you work across more than one workspace.

How to clear your chat history

  1. Open your chat list, where your recent conversations appear.
  2. Select the conversations you want to remove, or choose the option to clear all of them at once.
  3. Confirm when prompted. Because the action is permanent, you will be asked to verify that you want to continue.
  4. Wait for the confirmation that your conversations have been cleared.

Once complete, your chat list will be empty and you can start a fresh conversation right away.

Clearing a single conversation

If you only want to remove one conversation rather than everything, open that conversation and choose the option to delete it. The rest of your history stays untouched.

After clearing your history

The assistant will no longer be able to refer back to the conversations you removed. New conversations start clean, and the assistant will still use your profile details — such as your name, organization, and time zone — to give you accurate, personalized help.

Your agents continue to run as configured. Clearing your chat history does not change how they behave or what they can access.

Clearing your chat history is one way to control your information in Praxivara. If your goal is broader, you have other options:

  • Sign out other devices. From your security settings, you can review active sessions and sign out any device you no longer use.
  • Change your password. Updating your password signs out every other device while keeping your current browser signed in.
  • Wind down your account. If you want to remove your account entirely, that is handled by contacting support rather than through a self-service button.
Tip: If you are clearing your history because a conversation contained a password, key, or other secret, rotate that credential as well. Removing the message from your history does not change the credential itself.
