Billing address, taxes & VAT Guide

How your billing address calculates the tax or VAT shown before every charge and itemized on your invoices.

Your billing address determines the sales tax or VAT that applies to your Praxivara plan and purchases. Any applicable tax is shown on the order summary before you confirm a charge, and it's itemized separately on every invoice.

Why your address matters

Tax and VAT rules depend on where you're billed. Praxivara uses the billing address on your account to calculate the correct amount for your region and to show it to you before you pay.

Keeping this address accurate and complete ensures your charges go through smoothly and that your invoices reflect the right tax details for your records.

Add or update your billing address

You can manage your address from the Billing page without touching the cards on file.

  1. Open Settings and go to Billing.
  2. Find the billing address section and choose to add or edit your address.
  3. Enter your street, city, state or region, postal code, and country.
  4. Save your changes. The updated address is used for your next charge.

Tip: Updating your address here does not change your payment method. You can correct an address on its own at any time.

US customers must select a state

If your billing country is the United States, you'll need to select a state. Tax can't be calculated correctly without it, and the charge won't complete until it's provided.

See tax before you're charged

Whenever you start a purchase — a new plan, a plan change, extra credits, or additional storage — the order summary shows the amount due, any applicable tax or VAT as a separate line, and the total. Nothing is charged until you review this summary and confirm.

This means you always know the final amount, including tax, before you commit to a charge.

Taxes on your invoices

Every invoice itemizes tax or VAT as its own line, separate from your plan and any add-ons. You can download past invoices from the Billing page whenever you need them for accounting or expense reporting.

Troubleshooting

My card is being declined because I'm missing a billing address

A complete billing address is required to calculate tax and process a charge. Add your full address from the Billing page, then try the purchase again.

My address couldn't be verified

If an address can't be verified, double-check each field — street, city, state or region, and postal code — for typos or missing details. Correct anything that's incomplete and save again.

Why is tax being added to my bill?

Applicable sales tax or VAT is determined by your billing address and local rules. When tax applies to your region, it's shown before you confirm and itemized on your invoice.

My country or region isn't serviced

If Praxivara can't bill in your country or region, a charge won't go through. Confirm your country is entered correctly. If it's accurate and charges still don't complete, reach out to support for help.

If your plan comes through a workspace

When your plan is provided through a workspace, billing — including the address and tax details — is handled by your workspace admin. There's nothing for you to pay or manage yourself.
