A free trial lets you explore a Praxivara plan before you pay for it. You add a card when you start, you're not charged until the trial ends, and your first-charge date is shown clearly on the Billing page.

Starting a free trial

New customers can begin with a free trial of a plan directly from your account.

  1. Open Settings → Billing.
  2. Choose the plan you'd like to try and select the option to start your free trial.
  3. Add a card so the trial can begin, then confirm.

Once the trial is active, your plan's features are available to you right away, and your subscription status shows a Free trial badge.

Why a card is required up front

A card is collected when you start so your subscription can continue seamlessly once the trial ends, with no interruption to your assistant or agents. You are not charged while the trial is running.

Adding a card starts the trial only. Nothing is billed until your first-charge date arrives.

When your first charge happens

Your trial runs for a set period, and the Billing page shows both when the trial ends and the date of your first charge. When that date arrives, your first billing period begins and your card on file is charged.

To check these dates at any time, open Settings → Billing, where your current status and next charge date are displayed at the top of the page. If anything looks out of date, use the refresh option to pull the latest status.

Making sure your card is ready

Before your trial ends, it's worth confirming the card you want to use is on file and set as your default. You can add, replace, or update a card from the Billing page at any time. Keeping a valid card and billing address on file helps your first charge go through smoothly.

If your card doesn't go through at the end of the trial

If a charge can't be completed when your trial ends, your subscription pauses rather than quietly disappearing. Your account enters a past-due state so you have the chance to update your payment details and continue where you left off.

To resolve this, open Settings → Billing, add or update your card, and confirm your billing address is complete. Once payment succeeds, your subscription resumes.

One trial per account

Each account is eligible for one free trial. If you've already used your trial in the past, the option to start a new one won't be available, and you can move straight to choosing a paid plan instead.

Trials on workspace plans

If your plan is provided through a workspace, billing is handled by your workspace admin. In that case there's nothing for you to start, pay, or manage on your own Billing page.

  • Check your plan, status, and next charge date on the Billing page.
  • Add or update a card, or set a different card as your default.
  • Add or update your billing address so taxes are calculated correctly.
  • Choose a monthly or yearly plan once your trial ends.
