Your Billing page shows a status badge next to your plan so you can tell at a glance where your subscription stands. This article explains what each badge means and how to refresh your billing status if the details look out of date.

Where to find your subscription status

Open Settings → Billing (also reachable at /user/billing). At the top of the page you'll see your current plan, your renewal date, your total monthly cost, and a status badge that summarizes the state of your subscription.

Note: If your plan is provided through a workspace, billing is managed by your workspace admin. You won't see options to change or pay for a plan yourself, and there's nothing you need to do here.

Active

An Active badge means your subscription is in good standing and will renew automatically on your next billing date. You have full access to everything included in your plan.

The total monthly cost shown may differ from your plan's headline price. That's because it includes any add-ons you've chosen, such as extra seats or phone numbers. To see exactly what makes up your total, review the line items on your Billing page.

Free trial

A Free trial badge means you're trying a plan before paying for it. A card is collected up front so your subscription can continue smoothly when the trial ends, but you are not charged during the trial itself.

Your Billing page shows the exact date of your first charge. When the trial ends, your subscription moves to Active and billing begins on that date. Each account is eligible for one free trial.

Cancels soon

A Cancels soon badge means you've scheduled your subscription to end. You keep full access through the period you've already paid for, and your subscription simply won't renew after that. The badge is paired with the date your access ends.

If you change your mind, you can resume before the period ends:

  1. Open Settings → Billing.
  2. Find the option to resume your subscription.
  3. Confirm. Your subscription returns to Active and will renew as normal.

Past due

A Past due badge means a recent payment didn't go through. Your account enters a short grace period so you can update your billing details and settle the balance. If it isn't resolved, access can eventually be paused until payment succeeds.

To clear a past-due status:

  1. Open Settings → Billing.
  2. Check that a valid card is on file and set as your default. If your card expired or was declined, add a new one and make it the default.
  3. Confirm your billing address is complete, since it's needed to process the charge.
  4. Once your details are up to date, the outstanding balance is retried automatically.

No active plan

If you see No active plan, your account isn't currently on a subscription. To get started, open Settings → Billing, review the available plans, and choose one or start a free trial if you're eligible.

Refreshing your billing status

If the plan or status on the page looks out of date, for example right after you update a card or change plans, use the Refresh option on the Billing page. This pulls the latest details so the badge, renewal date, and totals reflect your current state.

Tip: A quick Refresh resolves most cases where the page seems a step behind. If the status still doesn't match what you expect after refreshing, review your payment methods and billing address to make sure everything is complete.
