Switching between monthly and yearly billing Guide

Yearly billing costs less than monthly. Here's how to switch your billing cycle and what to expect when you do.

Every Praxivara plan can be billed either monthly or yearly. Paying yearly costs less than paying month to month for the same plan, and you can switch between the two cycles whenever it suits you.

Why choose yearly billing

Yearly billing charges you once for a full year of your plan instead of once each month. Because you commit for the year, the yearly price is lower than paying twelve monthly charges for the same plan.

Monthly billing keeps things flexible with a smaller, recurring charge and no annual commitment. Yearly billing rewards a longer commitment with a lower overall cost and a single renewal each year instead of twelve.

Tip: When you compare plans on the Billing page, you can view each plan with monthly or yearly pricing so you can see the yearly saving before you decide.

How to switch your billing cycle

You change your billing cycle from the same place you manage your plan.

  1. Open Settings and go to Billing.
  2. Find the option to change or compare plans.
  3. Choose whether you want to be billed monthly or yearly.
  4. Select your plan on that cycle. Before you confirm, the page shows the amount due today and your next renewal date.
  5. Review the summary, then confirm the change.

The change takes effect immediately once confirmed, and your next renewal date updates to match the new cycle.

What happens to your charges when you switch

Switching cycles is handled as a plan change, so it is prorated. That means Praxivara accounts for what you have already paid for the current period and applies it toward the new one.

  • When you move to yearly, the summary shows the amount due today for the year ahead, with credit given for the unused part of the period you already paid for.
  • When you move to monthly, any remaining balance from your current period is credited toward your future charges rather than lost.
  • Applicable sales tax or VAT is calculated from your billing address and shown on the order summary before you confirm.

You will always see the exact amount due today on the confirmation summary before anything is charged, so there are no surprises.

After you switch

Once the change is confirmed, your Billing page reflects your new cycle, your updated total, and your next renewal date. Your plan's features and included credits stay the same — only the billing cadence and price change.

If the details still look out of date right after switching, use the option to refresh your billing status so the page pulls the latest information.

If your card is declined

A plan change needs a successful payment to take effect. If your card is declined during the switch, your plan stays on its current cycle and nothing changes.

To fix this, make sure a valid card and a complete billing address are on file, then try the switch again. You can add or update a card and set which one is your default from the Billing page.

If your plan comes through a workspace

If your Praxivara plan is provided through a workspace, billing is managed by your workspace admin. In that case there is no billing cycle for you to change yourself — reach out to your workspace admin if you would like the plan billed monthly or yearly.
