Your cards on file are the payment methods Praxivara uses for renewals and any purchases you make. You can add a new card, choose which one is your default, and remove cards you no longer need — all from your billing settings.

Where to manage your cards

Open Settings → Billing to find the payment methods for your account. There you can see each card on file, tell which one is set as the default, add a new card, and remove ones you no longer use. Cards are stored securely with our payment processor.

Note: If your plan is provided through a workspace, billing is handled by your workspace admin. In that case there are no cards for you to manage here.

Add a new card

  1. Go to Settings → Billing and open your payment methods.
  2. Choose to add a card and enter the card details.
  3. Confirm the card to save it to your account.

Adding a card makes it available for future charges, but it does not automatically become the card your subscription bills. To change what renews your plan, set the new card as your default or use the replace step below.

Set your default card

The default card is the one used for your subscription renewal and new purchases. To change it, open your payment methods, find the card you want, and set it as the default. The change applies to your next charge.

Which card gets charged?

Your renewal uses the card marked as the default at the time of the charge. If you want a different card to be billed going forward, make sure it is set as your default before your next renewal date, which you can see on the Billing page.

Replace the card on an active subscription

If your current card is expiring or was declined, replacing it ensures your renewal goes through cleanly.

  1. Add the new card to your account.
  2. Set the new card as your default.
  3. Remove the old card once the new one is in place.

Simply adding a new card is not enough on its own — make it the default so future renewals use it.

Remove a card

  1. Open your payment methods in Settings → Billing.
  2. Find the card you want to remove.
  3. Choose to remove it and confirm.

If the card is your current default

You cannot remove the default card while it is the only method keeping your subscription active. Set another card as your default first, then remove the old one.

Why one card must stay on file

While you have an active subscription, at least one card must remain on file so your plan can renew without interruption. If no valid card is available at renewal, the charge can fail and your account may enter a past-due state until the payment is settled.

If you want to stop being billed entirely, cancel your subscription from the Billing page rather than removing your card. Cancelling keeps your access through the end of the period you've already paid for and simply stops future renewals.

Tip: After a card is declined, update or replace it and set it as your default as soon as possible. This clears a past-due status and restores normal billing.
