Your account can hold two kinds of credits: the credits included with your plan each billing period, and any extra credit packs you buy on top. This article explains which ones Praxivara uses first and what happens to each when your period renews.

The two types of credits

It helps to know what you're working with before looking at how they're spent.

  • Plan credits are included with your subscription and refresh at the start of each billing period.
  • Purchased credits come from extra credit packs you buy from the Billing page, and from automatic top-ups if you've turned them on. They're added to your balance on top of your plan credits.

Both are spent on the same work — running your assistant and your agents — so you don't need to choose which pool to draw from. Praxivara handles that for you.

Which credits are spent first

Praxivara always spends your plan credits first. Only once your plan credits for the current period are used up does it begin drawing on your purchased credits.

This order works in your favor. Because plan credits refresh each period and purchased credits don't, spending the refreshing pool first means your bought credits stay untouched for as long as possible.

Tip: If you find yourself buying credit packs often, it may be more cost-effective to move to a higher plan that includes more credits each period. You can compare plans and switch at any time from the Billing page.

Do credits expire?

The two types behave differently at renewal, so it's worth understanding each.

Plan credits reset each period

Plan credits are allocated for the current billing period. Any plan credits you don't use don't carry over — a fresh allowance is granted when your plan renews. Because Praxivara spends plan credits first, most customers use the bulk of them before the period ends.

Purchased credits stay on your balance

Credit packs you buy remain available and are not wiped at the end of a billing period. They sit in reserve and are only spent once your plan credits for the period run out, so they roll forward from one period to the next while your subscription stays active.

What happens if you cancel

Purchased credits depend on having an active subscription. If you cancel, you keep full access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and any remaining purchased credits are removed once the subscription ends. If you think you'll return, you can resume before the subscription lapses to keep your balance intact.

Track your balance and usage

You can see exactly where your credits stand at any time.

  1. Open Settings and go to the Usage page.
  2. Review how many credits you've used this period and where they went.
  3. Go to the Billing page to buy an extra credit pack, turn on automatic top-ups, or change your plan.

Checking the Usage page before your period ends is the easiest way to tell whether your plan comfortably covers your needs or whether an upgrade would serve you better.

Note: If your plan is provided through a workspace, credits and billing are managed by your workspace admin, and there's nothing for you to buy or manage yourself.
