Why you can't change your plan on a managed seat Billing
When your plan is provided through a workspace, plan and credit changes are handled by your workspace admin, not on your own Billing page.

On this page
If your Praxivara access is provided through a workspace, your plan and credits are managed centrally by your workspace admin. That's why the usual plan controls on your Billing page appear locked or hidden — there's nothing for you to pay or change yourself.
What a managed seat means
A managed seat is access that someone else — your workspace admin — provides and pays for on your behalf. Instead of each person holding a separate subscription, the workspace covers the plan for everyone on it.
On a managed seat:
- Your plan is chosen and paid for at the workspace level.
- Credits and storage are provided through the workspace.
- You don't have a card on file or a personal charge to manage.
Tip: If your Billing page shows a note that your plan is managed by your workspace, that's your confirmation you're on a managed seat. This is expected, not an error.
Why the plan controls are locked
Because billing is handled centrally, individual members can't independently upgrade, downgrade, switch billing frequency, or buy extra credits. If everyone on a workspace could change the shared plan, it would be impossible for an admin to keep costs and access predictable.
So on a managed seat, the buttons to change your plan or purchase add-ons are intentionally unavailable. This keeps the workspace's billing consistent and under a single point of control.
How to change your plan or credits
Any change to your plan or credit allocation is made by your workspace admin. To request one:
- Identify who administers your workspace. This is usually the person who invited you or who set up your team.
- Let them know what you need — for example, a higher plan, access to a feature your current plan doesn't include, or additional credits.
- Your admin can make the change from their side, and it will apply to your seat automatically.
You don't need to enter any payment details or take any billing action yourself.
What you can still do
A managed seat doesn't limit how you use Praxivara day to day. You keep full access to the features included in the workspace's plan, and you can:
- Use your AI assistant and agents as normal.
- Review your own usage on the Usage page to see how much you've consumed this period.
- Manage your personal account settings, such as your name and sign-in preferences.
The only difference is that the paying-and-plan-choosing part happens through your admin rather than through you.
Leaving a workspace or billing on your own
If you later need your own independent subscription — for example, if you move off a team or want to manage billing directly — you would start a plan from your own Billing page once you're no longer on a managed seat. Until then, your workspace admin remains the right point of contact for anything related to your plan or credits.
When to contact support
Reach out to support if your Billing page shows conflicting information, if you believe you should have your own subscription but still see managed-seat controls, or if you're unsure who your workspace admin is and can't determine it from your invitation.
