Deleting a table or all its records

Clear every row from a table, or remove the table itself, from the Database tab. Both ask you to type the table's name first.

On this page

Both actions live in the menu (the three dots) on a table's card under Database, and both ask you to type the table's name before anything happens.

Delete all records

Removes every row from the table. The table and its fields stay, so the app keeps working and pages that list the rows show empty until new ones are added. Use it to clear starter data or start a season afresh.

Delete table

Removes the table and its rows from the app. Pages, forms and functions that used the table stop working until you ask the builder to update them, so tell the builder what you did: I deleted the Testimonial table, remove the testimonials section from the home page.

Before you delete

  • Export the table first if you might want the data back. See Exporting a table.
  • If you only want to remove a few rows, open the table and delete them one at a time.
  • Deleting rows one at a time, or all at once, hides them rather than destroying them; see Where deleted records go.
