Where deleted records go

Deleting a row hides it rather than destroying it. How to bring one back.

On this page

When your app, the dashboard or the API deletes a row, the row stops appearing but is not destroyed. That protects you from an accidental delete and means your app never promises a visitor that their data is gone for good.

Restoring a row

Deleted rows can be listed and restored through your app's API with a secret key. See Entity endpoints in the documentation, or ask the builder: restore the booking that was deleted this morning.

Clearing a table

If you ask the builder to clear a table it shows you an approval card first. Nothing is removed until you approve. From the dashboard, Delete all records in a table's menu does the same after you type the table's name. See Deleting a table or all its records.
