Praxivara can keep you informed in two different places: inside the app through the notification bell, and on your phone through a connected channel. They serve different purposes, and knowing which is which helps you stay on top of your work without missing anything important.
The in-app notification bell
The bell lives in the top header of your workspace, next to your account menu. It collects updates that happen inside Praxivara so you can catch up whenever you return to the app.
Typical items you'll see in the bell include:
- Activity from your agents, such as a task an agent completed or a run that needs your attention
- Updates on reminders, meetings, and tasks in your workspace
- Account and workspace notices relevant to you
The bell is always available while you're signed in, on desktop and on mobile. Because these notifications live inside Praxivara, you'll see them the next time you open the app, even if you were away when they arrived.
How to review them
- Open Praxivara and look to the top header of your workspace.
- Select the bell icon to open your recent notifications.
- Choose an item to jump to the related chat, agent, or workspace tool.
Messages on your phone
Separately from the bell, Praxivara can reach you on a phone channel you've connected, so you can hear from your assistant even when the app isn't open. This is designed for moments when you're away from your desk and want an update to come to you.
Messages on your phone arrive through whichever channel you've connected, and they behave like any other message on that channel: they land in your normal messaging experience, and you can reply from there.
When phone messages are useful
- You want a heads-up the moment something time-sensitive happens
- You'd rather reply on the go than open the app
- You want your assistant to feel reachable throughout the day, not just when you're at your workspace
The key difference
| In-app bell | Phone messages | |
|---|---|---|
| Where it appears | Inside Praxivara, in the top header | On a connected phone channel |
| Best for | Catching up when you open the app | Being reached while you're away |
| Needs setup | No — always available when signed in | Yes — connect a phone channel first |
| How you respond | Open the related item in the app | Reply directly on that channel |
In short, the bell is where Praxivara keeps a record of what happened inside your workspace, and a phone channel is how Praxivara comes to you when you're not in the app.
Connecting a phone channel
If you'd like updates and conversations to reach your phone, you can connect a channel from the Integrations page, or during onboarding if you haven't finished setup yet.
- Open the Integrations page from the left sidebar.
- Find the phone channel you want to use and follow the prompts to connect it.
- Once connected, you can message your assistant from that channel and receive messages there.
Note: The in-app bell works on its own with no setup. Connecting a phone channel is optional and simply adds a second way to stay in touch. Availability of specific channels can depend on your plan.
Choosing what works for you
Many customers use both together: the bell as a running log they scan when they sit down at their workspace, and a phone channel for the moments they want to be reached wherever they are. You don't have to choose one — set up whatever keeps you informed the way you prefer to work.
