If you belong to a shared workspace and no longer need access, you can remove yourself directly from your account settings. This guide walks through how to leave a workspace and what to expect afterward.

Before you leave

Leaving a workspace is a permanent action that takes effect immediately. Once you leave, you lose access to that workspace and to the agents, chats, and shared resources inside it. Take a moment to confirm you are leaving the right workspace, especially if you belong to more than one.

A few things are worth checking first:

  • Make sure any work you still need is saved or handed off to a teammate who remains in the workspace.
  • If you are the person responsible for the workspace or its billing, arrange for another member to take over before you leave.
  • Confirm that at least one other member will retain access, so shared agents and settings are not left without an owner.
Note: Leaving a workspace is different from deleting your Praxivara account. When you leave a workspace, your personal account stays active and you keep any other workspaces you belong to.

How to leave a workspace

You can remove yourself from a workspace in a few steps:

  1. Open Settings from your account menu.
  2. Go to the Account tab, where permanent account actions live.
  3. Find the option to leave your workspace and select it.
  4. Review the confirmation prompt, which explains that the action is permanent, and confirm.

Once confirmed, your membership ends right away. You are returned to your personal account view, and the workspace no longer appears in your list.

If you belong to more than one workspace

You leave one workspace at a time. Choose the specific workspace you want to exit and confirm, then repeat the steps for any others you want to leave. Workspaces you do not act on remain unchanged.

What happens to your access

After you leave, you can no longer open the workspace, its agents, or its shared conversations. Content that belonged to the workspace stays with the workspace and the members who remain — it does not move to your personal account.

Your personal profile, sign-in details, and security settings are unaffected. If you are later invited back, you will need to accept a new invitation to regain access.

Billing expectations

Billing for a shared workspace is tied to the workspace itself and the person who manages it, not to each individual member. When you leave, you are removing your own access — you are not closing the workspace or ending its plan.

  • If you are a member of a workspace someone else manages, leaving simply removes your seat. The workspace and its plan continue for the remaining members.
  • If you manage the workspace or its subscription, plan on transferring responsibility to another member before you leave, so the workspace is not left without someone to oversee its plan.
  • Any charges already applied to the workspace remain the responsibility of the workspace and the account that manages it.

If you are unsure how leaving will affect a workspace you help manage, coordinate with the other members before you confirm.

If you change your mind

Because leaving is permanent and takes effect immediately, there is no automatic way to undo it. To rejoin, ask a current member of the workspace to send you a new invitation. Once you accept, you will have access again based on the role you are given.
