The voice line lets you call a Praxivara number from your own phone and talk to your assistant out loud, in real time. It's a hands-free way to reach the same assistant you use on the web, on messaging channels, and everywhere else.
Before you can call in, you'll register the phone you'll be calling from and choose a 6-digit PIN. This one-time setup keeps your voice line yours.
Before you begin
- Voice calling is available on plans that include it, and it must be enabled for your workspace. If you don't see a Voice option in your Channels panel, it may not be turned on yet.
- Have ready the phone number you'll be calling from and a 6-digit PIN you'll remember.
Set up your voice line
- Open your Channels panel (the "Continue on your phone" area) and select Voice.
- Register your country and the phone number you'll call from. This is the number the system recognizes when you call in.
- Choose a 6-digit PIN. It must be exactly six digits.
- Activate voice calling. Once active, the screen shows the number you'll dial to reach your assistant.
Tip: Register the phone you actually plan to call from most often. The voice line recognizes you by that number, so calling from it makes for the smoothest experience.
Make your first call
- From your registered phone, call the number shown on the Voice channel screen.
- When prompted, enter your 6-digit PIN on your phone's keypad.
- Once your PIN is accepted, you're connected. Talk naturally with your assistant, just as you would in chat.
Your conversation stays part of the same assistant you use elsewhere, so you can pick up on the web later.
Change your PIN or registered phone
You can update your setup anytime from the Voice channel screen:
- Change your PIN whenever you like from the Voice channel settings. Remember it must remain exactly six digits.
- Update the registered phone from the same screen if you'll be calling from a different number.
- Disconnect voice calling when you no longer need it. You can set it up again later.
Recording
Calls may be recorded and stored securely so your assistant can act on what was discussed. Treat the voice line the same way you would any recorded business call.
Troubleshooting
I don't see a Voice option
Voice calling must be enabled for your workspace and included with your plan. If it isn't showing, it may not be available to you yet.
The screen says a number is coming soon
This means a call-in number isn't available in your region just yet. Check back later, or use a messaging channel in the meantime.
My PIN was rejected
Your PIN must be exactly six digits. Re-enter it carefully on the keypad, and confirm it matches the PIN saved on your Voice channel screen. You can reset it from that screen if needed.
The line doesn't recognize me
The voice line identifies you by the phone number you registered. If you're calling from a different phone, update the registered number on the Voice channel screen, or call from the phone you registered.
PIN entry isn't working when I speak it
Your PIN is entered on your phone's keypad, not by voice. Wait for the prompt, then tap the six digits.
