Depending on your plan, you can allocate more than one email address on the Praxivara Mail domain. When you keep several addresses, one acts as your default for new messages, and you can switch to any of the others whenever you compose or reply.
How multiple addresses work
Each address you allocate is a real, working inbox inside Praxivara. You can send, receive, reply, and forward from any of them, and you and your agents can work each mailbox. The number of addresses you can have is set by your plan tier, so a higher plan lets you keep more.
Keeping separate addresses is useful when you want to divide work cleanly, for example one address for general contact, another for a specific project, team, or agent. Every address is fully functional on its own; the default simply decides which one is used first.
Tip: Give each address a clear purpose before you allocate it. A short, recognizable local part (the text before the @) makes it easier to pick the right one when you're composing.
Set a default address
Your default address is the one Praxivara uses automatically for new messages, so choose the mailbox you send from most often.
- Open Praxivara Mail and go to your mail settings.
- Find the list of addresses you've allocated.
- Choose the address you want as your default and set it as the default.
- Save your change. New messages will now start from that address unless you switch.
You can change the default at any time. Changing it doesn't affect messages already sent, and it doesn't remove any of your other addresses.
Switch between addresses when you send
You don't have to change your default just to send from a different mailbox. When you compose or reply, you can pick which address the message goes out from.
- Start a new message or open a reply.
- Look for the "From" field at the top of the message.
- Select the address you want to send from for this message.
- Finish and send as usual. The recipient sees the address you chose.
When you reply to an incoming message, Praxivara generally sends from the address that received it, so the conversation stays consistent. You can override this from the "From" field if you'd prefer to answer from a different address.
Keep your addresses organized
Route incoming mail
If you already use an external inbox, you can forward it into a Praxivara Mail address so everything arrives in one place. Point each external inbox at the address that best matches its purpose.
Find messages across addresses
Your inbox includes folders, labels, and search, so you can organize and find messages regardless of which address received them. Use labels to tag conversations by client, project, or agent when several addresses feed into your workflow.
Frequently asked questions
How many addresses can I have?
That depends on your plan tier. Higher plans allow more addresses. If you've reached your current limit and need more, consider moving to a plan that includes a larger allowance.
What happens to my other addresses when I set a default?
Nothing changes for them. They remain active and fully usable. The default only determines which address new messages start from.
Can my agents use more than one address?
Yes. Your assistant and agents can work any mailbox you've allocated, so you can dedicate specific addresses to specific agents or workflows.
