Connecting a messaging channel lets you chat with your Praxivara assistant from the apps you already use on your phone — Messages (SMS), iMessage, WhatsApp, or Telegram. Every message syncs back to your Praxivara chat on the web, so you can start a conversation on your phone and continue it on your computer. The whole process takes about 20 seconds.
Before you start
You connect channels from the Channels panel, sometimes labeled "Continue on your phone." Which channels appear depends on your plan and on what the platform has enabled, so you may not see every option listed here.
Each channel offers two quick ways to connect:
- QR code — scan it with your phone's camera to open the right app with the message ready to send.
- Keyword message — open the app yourself and send a short pre-filled message to the number shown on screen.
Both methods do the same thing: they send a one-time connect message so Praxivara can link that phone to your account. Use whichever is easier on your device.
Connect with a QR code
- Open the Channels panel and pick the channel you want (Messages, iMessage, WhatsApp, or Telegram).
- On the connect screen, point your phone's camera at the QR code.
- Tap the prompt that appears. Your messaging app opens with the connect message already filled in.
- Send the message without changing it.
- Stay on the connect screen for a moment. Once your message is detected, the channel switches to Active.
Connect with a keyword message
If you'd rather not scan a code, connect manually:
- Open the Channels panel and choose your channel.
- Note the number and the pre-filled keyword shown on the connect screen.
- Open the messaging app on your phone and start a new message to that number.
- Send the exact keyword shown. Don't edit it — the keyword is how Praxivara matches the message to your account.
- Wait on the connect screen until it shows Active.
Connecting Telegram
For Telegram, open the bot shown on the connect screen and press Start instead of typing a keyword. The channel becomes active once you do.
Start chatting
Once the channel shows Active, message your assistant anything on that channel and it replies right in the same thread. You can send text, voice notes, photos, and files. Because everything syncs, those messages also appear in your Praxivara chat on the web.
- Text new chat to start a fresh conversation instead of continuing the current one.
- Text STOP to disconnect the channel from your phone.
Connecting a second phone (iMessage)
iMessage supports more than one phone. To add another, open the Channels panel again, choose iMessage, and complete the connect steps from the second device.
Disconnect a channel
You can disconnect any time. Open the Channels panel, find the channel, and disconnect it there — or text STOP from the phone you want to remove. Disconnecting stops messages on that channel; your conversation history stays in your Praxivara chat.
Troubleshooting
It still says "Waiting for your message…"
Make sure you sent the message to the exact number shown and used the keyword without edits. If a moment passes with no change, the connect code may have expired — return to the Channels panel to generate a fresh QR code or keyword and try again.
The QR code or code expired
Connect codes are short-lived. If yours expired before you sent the message, reopen the channel to get a new one.
The channel isn't listed, or shows "Not available yet"
Some channels are enabled per plan or per platform. If a channel doesn't appear or reports that it isn't available yet, it may not be enabled for your account. Check the channels shown in your Channels panel, or contact support if you expected it to be there.
Messages aren't syncing between phone and web
Confirm the channel shows Active in the Channels panel. If it does and messages still aren't appearing in both places, disconnect and reconnect the channel to refresh the link.
