How Praxivara Phone is billed Guide

Praxivara Phone lets you rent dedicated phone numbers so your AI agents can answer incoming calls and place outbound calls. Its billing has three simple parts: a monthly fee for each number you keep, per-minute charges for outbound calling, and your plan's monthly outbound-call limit.

The monthly number fee

Each phone number you rent carries a recurring monthly fee. You continue to pay this fee for as long as you keep the number, whether or not it handles any calls, because the number stays reserved for you.

When you buy a number partway through your billing cycle, the first charge is prorated so you only pay for the remaining days in that cycle. After that, the fee renews with your regular billing.

Tip: Before you can buy a number, you need a payment method on file and a billing address so the correct tax can be applied. You will see the tax and total to review before you confirm the purchase.

Per-minute outbound calling

When one of your agents places an outbound AI call, that call is billed by the minute, in the same way voice usage is metered elsewhere in Praxivara. Longer conversations use more, shorter ones use less. Inbound calls that your agents answer are handled separately from outbound per-minute charges.

Outbound calls draw on your account's available credits. If your balance runs low, a call may not be able to start, so it is worth keeping an eye on your credits if your agents make calls regularly.

Your monthly outbound-call limit

Your plan sets how many outbound calls your agents can place each month. Higher plans allow more. Once you reach the limit for the current cycle, new outbound calls are paused until the limit resets with your next billing period, or until you move to a plan that allows more.

The limit applies to outbound calls your agents initiate. Answering inbound calls does not count against it.

Where to check your usage

  1. Open Praxivara Phone from your Channels settings.
  2. Review your rented numbers and their labels to see what you are currently paying a monthly fee for.
  3. Check the phone usage view to see your outbound calling activity against your plan's monthly limit.
  4. Keep an eye on your available credits, which cover per-minute outbound charges.

How to reduce or stop charges

The monthly number fee stops when you release a number you no longer need. Releasing a number ends its billing going forward.

  1. Open Praxivara Phone and find the number you want to release.
  2. Release the number to stop its recurring monthly fee.

Note: Releasing a number is permanent and cannot be undone. If an agent depends on that number to answer or place calls, releasing it stops those calls, so reassign the agent to another number first if you still need that capability.
