The iMessage channel supports more than one phone, so you can reach your Praxivara assistant from several devices. This guide walks you through connecting an additional phone and managing each connection.
Before you begin
Make sure iMessage already works as a channel for your first device. If iMessage does not appear as an option, it may not be enabled for your plan or on the platform yet. Every message you send from any connected phone syncs back to your Praxivara chat on the web, so conversations stay continuous no matter which device you use.
Tip: Each connected phone joins the same continuous conversation. To keep a device on a separate thread, send
new chatfrom that phone to start fresh.
Connect an additional phone
Connecting a second phone follows the same quick flow as your first one. It usually takes about 20 seconds.
- On the additional phone (or from your account), open the Continue on your phone / Channels panel.
- Choose iMessage.
- Scan the QR code with the new phone, or open Messages on that phone and send the pre-filled keyword message to the number shown.
- Stay on the connect screen while it detects your message.
- When the message is recognized, the channel shows Active and the new phone is connected.
You can repeat this to connect more phones to iMessage whenever you need them.
Use the new phone
Once a phone shows as Active, message your assistant anything from it and replies arrive in the same thread. You can send text, voice notes, photos, and files.
- Send
new chatto begin a fresh conversation. - Send
STOPto disconnect that phone.
Manage multiple connected phones
You can keep several phones connected at once and disconnect any of them individually.
- Open the Channels panel and find the iMessage channel.
- Review the phones currently connected.
- To remove one, disconnect it from the Channels panel, or send
STOPfrom that phone.
Disconnecting one phone does not affect the others, and it does not remove your conversation history from the web app.
Troubleshooting
The connect screen still says "Waiting for your message…"
Confirm you sent the exact pre-filled keyword to the number shown on the connect screen, from the phone you want to add. If the code or QR expired before you sent it, close the connect screen and open it again to get a fresh one, then resend.
iMessage isn't offered as a channel
Some channels are enabled per plan or per platform and may not appear for every account. If iMessage is missing or you see a "Not available yet" message, it may not be available to you at this time.
Messages aren't appearing on the web (or vice versa)
All connected phones share one continuous conversation that syncs to the web chat. If a message seems missing, refresh the web chat, and confirm the phone still shows as Active in the Channels panel. If it dropped to disconnected, reconnect it using the steps above.
I want the new phone on its own conversation
Send new chat from that phone to start a fresh thread rather than continuing the existing one.
Disconnecting a phone
You can disconnect any phone at any time, either from the Channels panel or by sending STOP from the device itself. The remaining connected phones keep working normally, and you can reconnect a phone later whenever you like.
