When you chat with your Praxivara assistant from a connected phone channel — Messages, iMessage, WhatsApp, or Telegram — two simple text commands give you quick control without opening the web app. You can start a fresh conversation or disconnect the channel entirely, right from the thread you're already in.
Start a fresh conversation
By default, your messages continue the same ongoing conversation, so the assistant keeps the context of what you've discussed. When you'd rather begin from a clean slate — a new topic, a new task, or simply a fresh start — send a short command.
- Open the thread with your assistant on any connected channel.
- Send the message
new chat. - Continue messaging as usual. Your next message begins a brand-new conversation.
Starting a new chat doesn't disconnect the channel or change any of your settings. It simply sets aside the current conversation and begins a new one, so earlier back-and-forth won't carry over into what you ask next.
Tip: Because every message on a connected phone channel syncs with your Praxivara chat on the web, the fresh conversation you start by text will also appear when you open Praxivara on your computer. You can pick up right where you left off on either device.
Disconnect a channel by text
If you no longer want to reach your assistant from a particular phone channel, you can disconnect it without leaving the conversation.
- Open the thread with your assistant on the channel you want to disconnect.
- Send the message
STOP. - The channel disconnects, and messages you send afterward will no longer reach your assistant on that channel.
Disconnecting affects only the channel you send STOP from. Your other connected channels, your web chat, and your account remain unchanged. Your conversation history stays intact and is still available in Praxivara on the web.
Reconnecting later
Disconnecting isn't permanent. Whenever you want to use the channel again, open the Channels panel in Praxivara (look for the "Continue on your phone" or Channels option), choose the channel, and reconnect by scanning the QR code or sending the pre-filled message. Connecting again takes only a few seconds.
Managing channels from the app instead
Text commands are the fastest way to act while you're already messaging, but you can do the same things from the web app whenever you prefer a visual view of what's connected.
- Open the Channels panel to see which channels are currently active.
- Disconnect any channel directly from that panel.
- For iMessage, which supports more than one phone, you can remove an individual connected phone while keeping others active.
Quick reference
| You want to… | Send this text | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Start a fresh conversation | new chat | Your next message begins a new conversation; the channel stays connected. |
| Disconnect the channel | STOP | The channel disconnects; other channels and your web chat are unaffected. |
Good to know
- These commands work on your connected messaging channels — Messages/SMS, iMessage, WhatsApp, and Telegram.
- Neither command deletes your history. Past conversations remain available in Praxivara on the web.
- Which channels are available to you can depend on your plan and on what's enabled for the platform.
